Sun damage and skin complexion results can be seen a few days after the first session. The skin will continue to look younger and more brilliant over time with most visible results after 1-2 weeks. Having multiple photofacial sessions will improve the final result. For vascular treatments such as spider or leg veins, results can be seen in up to 2 weeks.

Lumecca can be used on all areas of the body. The most common areas of treatment are zones that are regularly exposed to the sun. This often includes the face, neck, legs, hands and arms.

You will see improvement in your skin appearance after the first session. Multiple sessions provide even better results. Treatment regime/duration depends on the severity of skin damage, skin type, type of treatment and energy settings.

Post treatment, the treated area will be sensitive and mild sunburn-like sensation is expected. This usually lasts 2-24 hours. Keep the area clean. Wash gently and avoid aggressive scrubbing or use of exfoliants, scrub brushes (clarisonic), and loofa sponges until the sensitivity and colored of the treated area has returned to normal and the peppering has resolved. Please also protect the treated areas with a full spectrum sun block of 30 SPF or higher, used regularly between treatments and after the treatment course is completed.
