Treatments Hair Hair Transplant
Balding is a concern for aging adults and youngsters in their 20s. More so after the pandemic hit the world in 2022. Hair fall and thinning lead to reduced self-esteem, lack of motivation, and unhappiness in one’s looks.
Men and women face hair loss due to various factors. Common factors include the increase in pollution levels, dust, poor lifestyle choices like smoking, medications and supplements, radiation therapy to the head, trauma, and hairstyles and treatments and diseases. Genetics play a crucial role in accelerating balding for men. You may inherit the genes either from the mother or father. A combination of hereditary and stress related issues lead to the typical balding patterns for men. Typically, men start balding in the M-shaped pattern. In severe cases, only the hair at the back, sides and temples remain. For men, auto-immune diseases like alopecia areata target loss of hair in patches on the scalp or beard. In women, hormonal imbalances from the thyroid and PCOS cause major hair thinning and fall. Pregnancy and menopause add to the severity of hair loss.

FUE: FUE is a popular hair transplant method. The extraction process differs from the FUT, but the implantation is the same. It requires no cuts or sutures as the surgeon extracts only the hair follicles from the back of the head. Before the surgery, the back of the head is trimmed to 1 to 2mm in length. After the local anaesthesia, he uses a micro punch tool to remove the hair follicles and makes tiny incisions where it needs the hair. He transplants these into that portion and closes the area after the procedure.
FUE can be done either through Manual FUE or Robotic FUE. In Manual FUE, the practitioner uses a handheld device to extract the hair follicles. The physician guides a robotic hair transplant device in Robotic FUE. While the expert selects the desired amount of hair, the ARTAS robot completes the harvesting step.
Direct Hair Transplant: DHI is a modified FUE technique. Instead of cutting channels in the scalp for the implantation of follicles, the surgeon uses a specialized pen-shaped tool in DHI.
In Bio-FUE, the surgeon extracts a blood sample from the patient and separates the infused regenerative cell from the blood by storing it in a centrifuge. The cells are injected into the required area. It activates the stem cells in the recipient site. It stimulates growth in the surrounding areas. It is a safe method shorter recovery time for both the donor and transplanted areas. The results are outstanding. You look and feel good as you flaunt your new crop of voluminous hair.
Multi-Graft Implantation: The grafts are artistically implanted in your thinning areas and spaced apart to maintain healthy circulation. We create designer hairlines ensuring the transplanted hair will grow in a natural direction, according to your preference.
Slit-grafts and micro grafts: Depending on the coverage, slit grafts contain 4 to 10 hairs in each graft. In Mircro-grafts, there are 1 to 2 per graft.
What is a transplant?
Hair transplant surgery moves hair follicles from the donor area, typically the back of the head to the thinning patch on the scalp. It is now commonly used to treat hair loss caused by thyroid and auto-immune diseases. At Sparha, we use the latest treatments in hair transplants to ensure our procedures deliver the desired look.
Will there be scarring?
FUE treatments require tiny incisions that are invisible to the naked eye. There will be a small scar at the donor area at the back of your scalp camouflaged under the hair. Pro Tip: Request the surgeon to show you photos of past work to help you make your decision.
What are the post-treatment care guidelines to follow?
Recovery is quick and takes a few days to recover. Our team provides a detailed list of dos and don’ts to follow after your hair transplant. We advise clients to not wash their hair for at least three days, use mild shampoos for a few weeks, and avoid combing for at least three weeks. Don’t wear hats or scarves unless advised by the doctor. The results are visible in three to four months.
