Hair loss and thinning are global issues. Today, with changes in lifestyle, diseases, dust, and pollutions balding is seen in younger men and women. India has seen men in their 20s experiencing hair fall earlier than before. Thankfully, hair transplant procedures have progressed in giant leaps and PRP or Platelet Rich Plasma offers exciting, non-surgical hair restoration results.
Unlike other surgical methods, the doctor uses the patient’s platelet-rich plasma on the scalp. There have been significant changes to this treatment since it first launched in the 1908s. Are you suffering from the usual signs of balding? Does it make you feel uncomfortable?
Sparha is the leading clinic in Bangalore for hair transplant procedures driven to deliver results according to your individual needs. Our clients vouch for our expertise, and our surgeons are seasoned names in the industry. We prescribe clinically tested and safe products that boost the outcomes of the PRP treatment. PRP helps in maintaining new growth by adding a rush in blood supply to the hair follicle.

What should I avoid after my PRP session?
After PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) treatment, it is important to follow certain guidelines to optimize the results and promote healing. Here are some things to avoid:
Am I a candidate for PRP?
Patients suffering from severe illnesses like cancer, chronic infections, acute skin diseases, metabolic disorders, and other causes may not be eligible for this treatment.
What does the PRP hair loss treatment include?
First, 10-50ml of blood is drawn from the patient’s arm and is centrifuged to separate the platelets from the blood. After 30 minutes, the blood separates into platelet-poor plasma, platelet-rich plasma, and red blood cells. The doctor removes the platelet-rich plasma and trichologists activate the growth factors with an agent prior to injecting in the scalp. Our dermatologist then inject the extracted PRP into the affected area through micro needles. A local anaesthesia prior to injection numbs the area for the surgery. The entire process takes less than an hour, depending on the area covered.
Is it a permanent solution? Do I need more sittings after my first?
You will have to consider follow-up PRP treatment post the first one. Since it is not a permanent solution to your hair loss, male and female patients may consult our doctor for further guidance. After the initial treatments, you’ll need to maintain to sustain the results of your hair regeneration treatment.
