The doctor performs the procedure under general anaesthesia. The two major techniques are used to carry out this procedure: The classic lift or coronal lift: This technique relies on one continuous incision, from ear to ear across the top of the head to lift the skin and remove excess tissue and fat. The surgeon then realigns the muscles and places the eyebrows at a higher level. The endoscopic lift: In this technique, shorter incisions are made in the scalp and a thin tube with a camera or scope is used to view the tissues to make the necessary alterations. This procedure is less invasive due to smaller cuts and has minimal scarring and a shorter recovery time than the classical lift.
